eww...winter

so i have felt extremely lucky so far this fall/winter season..and the reason is because it hasnt snowed in the valley. now, typically, and i mean in the last 15 years i've lived here there has always been at least one snow storm by halloween. but not this year. nope. not a flake on my sidewalk. heck..some weekends it was 60 degrees. but today, today that was all over! ugh. dont get me wrong..i think snow is gorgeous but i hate walking in it..i hate driving in it. but mostly i hate walking in it. specially if i'm wearing heels. which just so happened to be the case today. and yep. i'm a clumsy gal...so of course i step on to the porch and slip. granted..i didnt fall. thank goodness for the screen door! lol.

no scrappy news from my neck of the woods..havent really had much time to scrap this last week with the holiday..and then the girls were sick. poop! and then when they started feeling better art and i started getting sick. figures, doesnt it? lol
so tomorrow is my last day of work till next week..and then i'm getting my scrap on!!

if i didnt get to share my news! lol. debbie, from www.cropaddict.com called me on friday and asked me to join their DT!! i'm so freakin excited!! seriously. lol. when i got off the phone i screamed, yep i screamed! my kids were like whats going on momma?! it was really cute because they were so excited for me.

saturday was my 6 year wedding anniversary, and it was a very quiet one spent at home. my mil watched the girls for a few hours so we could have some time alone; art made roast for dinner and then we snuggled on the couch. all in all not too bad. altho, i'm not gonna lie and tell you that i didnt wish that my mil had kept the girls overnight..if you know what i mean ;)

i have a few lo's to share, but will have to do that when i get home since i'm bloggin from work (sssh! ;) )

yo peoples! this is officially the last day of my first week of work!! woo hoo me! lol. i could tell that i was looking forward to a day off because i didnt want to get out of bed lol. actually, i think that had less to do with work and more to do with the fact that it was freezing this morning!! i guess i can't complain too much tho because it hasnt even snowed yet this year--at least in the valley anyways.

dont have much to update on..cuz i've been working..but tomorrow i plan to get my scrap on cuz i got my scrapologie kit in the mail on monday!! i keep taking everything out and fondling the papers and the chipboard lol. i sound like a paper pervert hehe. ooh, and i got one of the supplements--pink city, cuz i really wanted some of that k&co twinkle type. and man. they werent kidding that it was super super glittery!! but i love it. i cant deny it. and i got me some 7gypsies portfolios to alter. i think thats what my mom will be getting for xmas..but ssssh!! dont tell her ;)

just relaxing

so i'm starting my xmas gifts/projects...i'm a little late starting them i think...we shall see if i can get them done!

i headed out to the AMM warehouse sale yesterday afternoon expecting huge long lines but i got lucky and was in and out in 30mins! here's what i got::

now, i went there soley for the calendars (xmas gifts) and the tote. cuz i really really really have been wanting the tote for a long time. so i got one and i'm happy. and i got the calendars. i just dont know why i had to get any of the other stuff..besides the fact that it was cheap! lol. i just dont have any self control at all!! lol.

so last night me and my friend decided it was time for a ladies night...

we head out to a local club/bar to shake our groove thangs. and i'm feeling pretty good ya know..looking forward to having some fun.

so we get there, they charge us an arm and leg to get in..and turns out

it was MILPH night lol. um..that stands for MOMS I WANT TO PHOTOGRAPH. lol. so these chicks did this calendar thingy..and all

the proceeds are going to the local womens shelter--which is awesome.

but these chicks..man. they looked tore up from the floor up! i mean, they all had implants(i'm so not exaggerating) and i dont have a problem with ppl having those at all. what i have a problem with is chicks with boobs hanging out all over--i mean they leave nothing to the imagination! the thing that i was thinking was sad is that they girls had amazing bodies..but their faces..oy. looked like they had been around the block a few too many times lol.. and the guys there were just freakin falling all over them. it was nasty to watch. lol.

anyways it was a good time..even with the milphs. lol.

now i'm just sitting here trying to relax and enjoy my last day as a sahm. tomorrow i start my part time job and i'm really excited. not really nervous because i used to work there so i know the ropes and all. i'm worried that i'm going to miss my kids. which is funny because at this very moment that i'm typing this...they are driving me batty! lol. ahh..motherhood!

yesterday i worked on some lo's for the calendars..but i havent scanned them. so i will leave ya with some lo's that i did with the scrapologie last month that i never got to post!

i figured since its been a month since i updated that it was time that i update lol.

um lets see...i havent wanted to update because (1) i dont know if anyone reads this thing cuz i dont get many comments and (2) theres not been much going on in my little world as of late..but heres a tiny bit of what has been happening::

*i took about a month of scrappin hiatus. my mojo flew the coop. however, its now back..and i'm out of printer ink. go figure.

*art doesnt have to work nights until january! woo hoo. now, this probably doesnt seem like a big deal..but for the last 4 years he's been groggy at/on our annivesary,thanksgiving,mayas birthday and xmas. so yes, this is good news!!

*i just got a part time job---starts on monday and i can't wait! i'm mucho excited to pay some bills..and oh yea..get some scrappin goodness!!

*i was asked to be a guest designer at a newer scrapbook/paper company..so keep your eyes peeled for that later ;)

so yep...thats pretty much the last month of my life in a nutshell. pretty damn boring if you ask me..but hey..its my life, i can call it boring :)

so this morning was a pita. i dont know why everyday its a struggle to get olivia ready for school. it starts with getting her dressed, then to get her hair brushed. then its time to eat her breakfast--which is like the worst ever!! its like i have to force feed her! ugh.
today is picture day at school, so of course we needed to do her hair all cute, which really didn't take long because all she requested were some braids. the hard part was getting her to finish her breakfast! and then maya refused to put on her shoes. i think someone is testing my patience today! lol.

so i was thinking that i just updated this like last week. lol. um..ya...my sense of time is not what it used to be. hehe.
so just a couple of updates::

so, my furnance is fixed, which is great. however, now that its warm in here i never want to go outside! i've been trying to take the kids to the park everday so they can enjoy it while they can..but really...i hate leaving the warmth.

my mom might be coming up after xmas which would be just fantastical. she wanted to be here for xmas..but thinking it might be better to wait till after the holiday rush. cant wait to see her..hug her..smell her hair. i know that sounds funny..but to me, smelling her hair is very calming. yep. i'm a dork. oh, and a momma's girl.

scrapping has slowed down a bit here...my mojo came and made an appearance briefly and then left just as fast. lol. it seems i'm not one of those scrappers that can scrap when they have a lot on their mind. i've been stressed out lately about some stuff and its definitely not letting me scrap. which is a bummer. cuz i want to scrap. ya..and it might help if i had some photos that i really wanted to do, so, i hereby pledge to start taking some pics!

olivia is still loving school...but i on the other hand am not loving volunteering..and neither is maya. so, i'm not doing that anymore. at least, not on a regular basis. i was beginning to feel like it was just expected that i be there everyday, and well i didnt like that. plus maya was not liking it very much..she was getting really bored, plus i couldnt watch her and do all this stuff that the teacher needed. so, we are back to our mornings together and i really prefer it that way!

today is a lazy day, so i thought i'd update the old blog. hehe.
lets see...i started volunteering in olivia's kindergarten class. a lot of fun, but dude. those kids are pretty dang hyper for 8 in the morning!
maya has been going with me when i go to help, and for the most part she
is really good. for the most part. lol.

i went to my very first crop ever on friday! met up with some moms from the local mommy mb at the scrapbook expo. totally had a blast cropping.i got six of my own lo's done and two for a friend of mine--for a total of 8!! yay me.
but seriously, the shopping was pretty lame. i was very dissapointed. its like every time i go there are less and less manufacturers there. ugh. only stores and they are mostly selling page kits. totally poopie.

however, there were a handful of good deals

also, its flippin cold here!! one day it was like 80 degrees and now its barely hitting 60! totally not cool cuz our furnace is broken. ugh. we are working on fixing that tho. so because its chilly here the baking bug has bitten me! mm i love pumpkin anything!! woo hoo for fall! and because its fall that means that my wedding anniversary is coming up! yikes! better start thinking of ideas lol.

lets see..olivia started school last month..and ya. maya is still having a hard time adjusting to leaving her. i've been getting up everyday at the buttcrack of dawn. ok. not the buttcrack. but it sure feels like it. i'm used to getting up around 9-10..so getting up at 6:40 is a big adjustment. big.

i tried for some dt's..didnt make it. not like a ginormous deal..but kinda made my mojo go away. and at the same time all this unfriendliness was going on at the pub and some blogs...not from pubsters..but anyways. didnt dig the negativity, so i took a step back and quit posting for a bit.

so here i am, still alive, trying to get my mojo back in order.
my girls are going for their very first playdate today. they are super
excited. as am i lol. i'm hoping to scrap..but you know, thats what i always say when i dont have the kids, and i never do. i dont know why lol.

today is a crop for the 2ps pub gals at a lss..and i really wanted to go. however..i dont know how in the world i would get my stuff there...oh. and art wants to go paintball. so the compromise is he goes to paintball and i stay home and scrap. and pretend that i'm at the crop! lol. i'm pretty bummed tho because Sande Kreiger and Amber Skolnick are supposed to be showing up!! but hopefully next time i will definitely make it there!

nothing much going on in my scrappy world..just trying to find my lost motivation..who just so happend to take my mojo with it. i fell off the load wagon and its killing me!! so today i vow to make something. i must! lol.

yep. i have a cold. again. poop on the cold. it sucks to be sick in the summer.
speaking of being sick. we took olivia to the dr yesterday, and yes she has an ear infection. in both of them. on a scale of 1-10 the Dr. says its an 8!! my poor darlin. she's been loungin on the couch mostly...
we took her for registration today, and we have to go back next week for the assessment tests. and i found out i was wrong about the first day of school. i guess kindergartners start later lol. good thing they told me! hehe.

so since i've been sick i've not really been online much..or scrapping. but i did get my lo done for the LSS contest..so that is good news. now heres to crossing my fingers that i make it to the next round!!

art is off work till next week. so its nice having him around. the kids really missed him while he was at work.

so today was the day..the great heist on my kids! hehe.
art had to work half the day..then he came home and we told them if they were good we'd go to the park.
so ya. we packed them up and headed on up to lagoon (its an amusement park..dont know what to compare it to..maybe like knotts?)..anyways..

so this is day 4 of art being off. and ya. nothing is getting done around here. why is that? i mean since he is here you would think that we'd be doig stuff around the house but no. we are just freakin relaxing all dang day long!! grr. that needs to change tomorrow.

and only a few more days till we get to take the kids to lagoon!! i'm so excited!! the girls have no dang clue! it will be so cool to see their faces and hear their squeals of delight once they figure out where we are!

so. yesterday was rad. today was rad. nothing extra special..but i did get my hands on the new MME Bohemia line!! whooo freakin hoo! seriously. i found a place online that had it so i ordered some. but then i had to go the lss to get some cs..so ya. i walk in and low and behold there it is right in freakin front of me!!! so ya better believe i bought a ton! lol. cuz this lss that i went to..they are an outlet..so EVERYTHING is 30% off!!! HECK YES!

today was super fun. spent it hanging with carolyn..went to lunch, went to old navy and got some cute tshirts for like 3.99 a piece. then went and got a frap..then came home and had a lil photoshoot..soo freakin funny. seriously i almost peed my pants several times. lol. got some great pics..okay i lie. i got like 216 pics. hehe.

i can't freakin believe how fast july flew by!! man. its like oh its summer..and then whammo its over! geez. i think its the layout a day i'm doin at 2ps thats makin it fly by.

anyhoo..today was a way weird weather (whoa, thats a lot of w's) day in utah. way stormy; windy, rain/thunder and some hail!! geez. i think it was only like 62 today at noon. and yesterday was 80-90 degrees. weirdness.

so olivia had her appt at the dentist and only had one cavity! yay. so we also had maya get a check up and she is doing good with no cavities at all! i was relieved. i dont know why, but it made me feel like a bad mom that olivia had a cavity..but at least its fixed now and its her baby teeth. plus ever since we got home she's been brushing like 4x a day lol. its cute. she's decided that instead of wanting to be a princess when she grows up she now wants to be a dentist! hehe. what a cutie.

so today..i'm going thru my gallery..from the very beginning. you know, just checking out how my style has changed..and you know what i noticed? that most of my lo's all look the same!! that is freakin lame!!
and the thing that bugs me the most is that i do all these challenges like hmitm,the dares etc..so that i can be pushed outside my box and its not working! i mean, its not the challenge thats to be blamed.its all me!! dur.
so i need to be pushed. i need a new way of thinking. but how do i get it. i need some inspiration, right? so i think..well i will go check out my BOS. ya. so i go. i click on peanuts. and BAM, nothing!!
and i'm like, wtf?! nothing? i had like 4 pages of peanuts yesterday. and now its empty and i dont know why!! grr. anyways..so much for that idea. and now i have to try to remember who was in there!! freak. i'm mad.
and now i am peanut-less as well as inspiration-less. poop i tell ya. its poop.
so. no news beyond my whining..except to say that art is finally on his last week of nights!! yayness!! i soo can't wait to go to bed with him. whoa. that sounds naughty. and thats not even how i meant it lol.
also, olivia is going to the dentist tomorrow..the last appt we need in order to get registered for kindergarten. whoa. thats creepin up on me. sadness.

is it saturday already?

man. this week was draggin..and then BAM! its saturday. i've been cleaning too much today. i need to stop or someone will think i'm sick hehe.
so, i've not blogged much this week. i have no reason why..except that i haven't been scrapping much either. i dont know why. maybe its too hot or something.
anyways..thought i would use the topic challenge i saw on the gs board--have you ever been to a crop, what was it like..etc.
so i've never been to a crop..but i have been to some classes. but that was forever ago. it was ok. i mean the teacher was fine..i just didnt fit in. at least i didnt feel like i did. everyone knew eachother from their ward and well, i'm catholic. so ya. anyways. i dont do crops for 2 reasons: i'm lazy. i dont know how i would pick out and then haul my stuff somewhere. basically just that i'm lazy. the other reason is that i dont know if i could get any scrappin done if i was talkin the whole time! besides that. i'm kinda shy in person when i first meet ppl or if i dont know them at all i tend to be super duper quiet. so wouldnt that defeat the purpose? i think so. anyways..thats my story about crops/lss.
i got a few lo's done over the week, nothing fancy.
oh, and i tried my hand at digi..i cant remember if i mentioned that before..but dude it totally drained me trying to figure it out. so i'm taking a break from that cuz i couldnt get my brain to bend around all the things that need to be done or whatever. so i think that trying to figure that out like drained my mojo or something.
